How to Check HKDSE Result

Results of Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) are expected to be released on Wednesday, 11 July. School candidates will receive their result notices through their schools. Private candidates and evening school students may check their results online from 7:00am on the day of the release through HKDSE Examination Online Services. Results will also be available at PEAK Exam Centres.

Those who wish to apply for Enquiry on Results (EOR) can do so by submitting the required documents to the CSEU within six weeks of their registered test date. They can also choose which sections of the test they would like to have re-marked. If the re-marking result improves their score, they will receive a full refund of the application fee.

The re-marking fee for EOR is HK$ 1,000. Candidates can apply for a maximum of five tests per year. The re-marking results will normally be available in two to 21 days after the re-marking process is completed.

If a candidate needs his or her examination results verified for a particular purpose, he or she can submit an application to the CSEU by post together with the original copy of his or her Result Slip. The application must be accompanied by a letter with the applicant’s contact telephone number and a copy of his or her Hong Kong identity card or passport.

The re-verification service can be used for various purposes, including applying for employment or admission to universities. The re-verification service is free of charge, but candidates will have to pay for the courier cost for the shipment of the certificate. A certified copy of the results will be sent to destinations inside Hong Kong by registered post as soon as possible after the verification is complete. For destinations outside Hong Kong, applicants will have to arrange courier service at their own expense. The re-verification service will be available until the end of March 2024. After that, it will be discontinued. In the meantime, candidates can verify their results through a self-service counter at the CSEU. The re-verification service will also be available for applicants with overseas addresses who wish to check their results over the Internet. However, they should note that the re-verification service does not guarantee that their examination results will be changed for the better. In fact, the results of their previous exams will still be valid for their next applications. However, the re-verification result is an important step in ensuring that the information on their results is correct and up to date. Therefore, it is important that they take the time to verify their information before they use it for any application. This is especially true for those who want to apply to a university in the future. To do so, they should follow the instructions on the re-verification website carefully. Otherwise, they could face trouble with the university admissions process or even lose their scholarship. In the worst case, they may not even be allowed to enter the university at all.
